Technology Advisory Committee Meeting - November 04, 2005

Present: Kurt Collins, Lorraine Frost, Ian Jacobs, Bob McGowan, Jason Reimer, Mike Ross, Joe Scarcella, Bill Takehara, David Turner.

Retreat Overview and Reflection: The group discussed suggestions that were made at the TAC retreat.

Complete Operating Policy Handbook: Recommended changes were made to the TAC handbook. There were some recommendations that perhaps members of TAC should be included in plans for new buildings. This would be great experience for this group in planning technologies for the future. It was suggested that we invite Rob Carlson to a TAC meeting to discuss technologies for College of Education building. Discussion regarding working committees. Do we need a formal document with a charge for each working committee, for example Mike’s USIS Smart Classroom Lifecycle? We don’t need it in the actual handbook but in the appendices . . . The processes for proposals will be to bring it to TAC and TAC will decide which subcommittee it will belong to. The subcommittee will report back to their respective infrastructure group to discuss any policy issues.
